What is sowsia all about?
SOWSIA (pronounced soh-see-ya) is a suite of healthcare applications (delivered through ondemandhealthcare.net as a service) that you sign up for and access from our HIPAA compliant, 100% Highly Available Network. The applications are free for use by Physicians and Health Care Facilities, Patients, and other Healthcare Professionals, and come with a 1GB initial storage. After a 90-day trial period, there is a nominal subscription fee for services related to managing health content and business transactions, storage, security and network. Our ondemand suite of enterprise applications have the most comprehensive set of solutions available (75+) for managing all aspects of your business at anytime, and from anywhere in the world. The applications are rich with features to make your user experience worthwhile. All you need is an Internet connection and a Browser.

What are the main advantages of using ondemandhealthcare.net?
 
Our Software-as-a-Service delivery model allows you to use ONDEMANDHEALTHCARE.net applications over the Internet without having to pay to own the software. The applications are for use by: Physician Practices, Healthcare Facilities, Insurers, Regulators, Individual Patients and their Families, and our network provides secure access to vital patient information everytime, everywhere.

ONDEMANDHEALTHCARE.net's wide range of online applications makes it easier for Physicians, and Healthcare Professionals to manage all their work while dramatically reducing the complexity and overall cost. Our solutions are SOA based and will integrate with existing systems via XML, HL7 so that your existing data can be accessed. We hope that you will find our applications easy to use, flexible, rewarding, more collaborative, and also more enjoyable.

How do I request an account?

Click on Sign-up link to request your unique business id on our network, and complete all the information requested. ONDEMANDHEALTHCARE.net is an exclusive Provider only network, and in order to provide you with access, we would need all the information requested to comply with regulations. You can enter it when you complete the online form in order to expedite the approvals. Alternatively, you can email or fax us the professional and business license details later along with the reference number provided when you sign-up. Please note that this may result in a delay until we have all of the information from you to continue the approval process. We do not sell or disclose your information to anyone, and use the information provided to us, only for verification purposes and for billing wherever applicable. How long does it take to get an approval?
If we have all the information from you (data entered when requesting an online account with us), it can take less than five minutes to set up your account on the network and to issue you permission to login. Otherwise it usually takes 2-3 business days from the time your application is complete and ready for approvals.

How long does it take to configure the applications, and to go live?
You can go live instantly after your account approval, and enter patient registration information, perform operational and clinical tasks, and manage billing functions such as collect payment, manage other aspects of your business such as scheduling, lab orders, prescriptions, and much more. Some applications may require additional steps before you can use them. These steps are simple and easy to perform and are identified in the help section. If you would like to set up additional data, the configuration time may vary depending upon your specific business need.

Is there any fee for using the ondemand healthcare applications?
 
No. The applications are free for use as long as you stay within your 1GB account limits. There is also a 90-day trial period to try our ondemand services. Please check www.ondemandhealthcare.net for more details.

How do I get a Physician reference in my state to fulfil your online account requirements?
 
If you just heard about us and do not yet have a reference to satisfy our online account requirements, you can send us a separate email to csr at sowsia.com with your reference number, and we will direct your request to the appropriate team. Please no phone calls.

My account is pending an approval. Will I still get my unique id on your network?
 
Names are assigned on a first come, first serve basis, and keeping in mind our criteria for special names. Some of the IDs are either private or reserved example myclinic. While we will strive to accommodate your request, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that you will indeed get one to your liking. We suggest that you apply as soon as you best can.

How do I join SOWSIA Collaborative Group?
 
The best way to be part of the on demand healthcare movement (ODH) is to use the applications, make suggestions to improve, connect with others in the ODH community, or start your own ODH chapter.

Will SOWSIA provide toolkit or APIs for Developers?
  Developers can sign-up sign-up to receive an email update when we've announced the toolkit. To sign-up, send an email to csr@sowsia.com, in the subject of your email, write Sign-up for Toolkit.
